Well, TFH friends, and members, I’m back in the Houses once again. A medically imposed hiatus from the day to day rigors is now upon me. A brief explanation I owe.

An accumulation of things, events, happenings, or confluence I might say, both on our wonderful vine, and out of it warrant a bit of an explanation to my friends. Some of my “confluences” some of you know already, so I thought to explain to all.

No few folks have noticed I haven’t been my usual semi literary prodigious self lately, the last month or two, and those inquiries have been warmly appreciated!

That the dialogue in places is getting absolutely ridiculous is no surprise, here on the vine, replete through the web and elsewhere, I will not miss for a while. Frankly, some people really do need to stop themselves, take a deep breath, and get away from the paranoia keeping them sucked onto their keyboards and get out into reality just a bit more than they are. Learn to work together people, or learn to pick up the pieces apart.

Off the vine, taking care of Mom has been a real chore lately, and fret not, she’s doing fine! No major problems! Just some changes in the day to day care routines have needed changing as her condition changes, and it’s taken us a while to get back into something of a regular routine, or as regular as we can make it, and that alone has taken me away from the vine for some time now. She also has plenty of help every day while I’m laid up too, so that’s a plate on the table no one need worry about! (and I’m going to try to milk that as long as I possibly can! *grin*!) It’s not working, but I’m tryin’!

Myself, I’ve not had a very healthy month at the same time. At the beginning of this particular path I’m now on, a torn rotator cuff, again, and surgery, again, has slowed me down a bit, then about three weeks ago I yakked a nice big lat muscle in my back, more joy there, and last week banged up rib muscles, ligaments and a couple of other issues that popped up around there put me under the knife earlier this week, and I am now crabby as hell! As a very dear friend observed just the other day, and she was right, as usual. And I hereby profoundly apologize, dear Susi!

I’m temporarily consigned to my man cave chair for a while, it’s a very nice, padded, comfy chair nonetheless, but it just isn’t my nice comfy bed either. And, for a while at least, I just can’t sit up and clack away here for long periods of time. Recovery is going to be around a couple of months, easily.

And everyone, feel absolutely free to chastise, tease, kid, cajole, and chew on me directly for my injuries, for they were mostly caused by Augur being a dumb, impatient, inattentive, “nah, I’m ready I can do it!” guy. Hey, it’s what we men do! *grin*!

So, a hiatus is in order. Apologies beforehand if I don’t respond to all, all are read, and I assure all, appreciated.

Time for a break.

(*pinkgrins*!)

I'll be popping into TFH now and then, but I need to rest a spell! I've been trying for a couple of weeks now to play "around" this accumulation, and frankly, it just isn't working!

Thanks all. See you in warmer weather!

Hey AW ... I know exactly where you are coming from. I've had a bit of "stuff" going on too. I hope our "friends" know that when a Newsviner drops out of warp ... it doesn't mean their heart isn't still beating at warp speed here on the "vine." Hope all goes well with you ... "engage" ...

Hey glad to see ya I was thinking you fell off the face of the Earth altogether. From what I read it sounds like you need to do some serious recooping so try and be patient with it so it won't take any longer than it has to. I see where you say you'll be popping into TFH on occasion well don't forget to drop me a line every once in a blue moon or so as I had to split TFH and won't be able to see ya there. Best wishes on your recovery and Godspeed.

Oh, Big Bro... I was wondering what happened, but didn't want to pry! Please, be kind to yourself and obey Doctor's orders!

Hey: if you can see your way clear dollars-wise, there are some nifty netbooks out there for around $300 - I just got one: Windows 7 Starter Edition, 250 gig hard drive, 1 gig memory, $329 at best Buy! Windows 7 Starter isn't all that great, but if all you want to do is surf the web, it works just fine! I sit on the sofa and play with mine all the time. It's lightweight, fast, easy to use, perfect for those like you who think they can conquer the universe until a muscle or a bone gets in the way... :-)

All of that was by way of saying I'm gonna miss you, my sweet Big Bro. Maybe a wee netbook that you can park by your lounge chair would be perfect (I forgot to add it has a battery life of 11 hours).

Sigh... please take care and check in with us when you can, let us know how you're doing.

Hehe... I didn't see much crabbyness... so no worries there! I sincerely hope you are better soon as I absolutely love reading your posts, as they make quite a bit of sense and are witty and fun.

We will miss your pink grins, so when you are ready, come back and make us smile!

Hugs!

Crabiness? I didn't see any crabiness. Crab is delicious. Do you have a hot nurse to take care of you? No heavy lifting. Just a fork or a glass or bourbon. That's it. Bourbon has amazing healing properties. *hic* Taking a healing and hate break is a good idea...for a lot of reasons. Follow the doc's odor, er, orders. You will be missed.

Dear Augur-- please take care of yourself and feel better soon!

I certainly understand the need for a break! Sometimes, everything just gets to be too much all at once. My prayers are with you and your mom, and I hope all goes well for you. I will look forward to seeing you soon, and if you check in, here and there.

((((((((((((Augur)))))))))))))

Take care, please.

Auger - I hope you are resting and recovering. I agree with this:

Frankly, some people really do need to stop themselves, take a deep breath, and get away from the paranoia keeping them sucked onto their keyboards and get out into reality just a bit more than they are. Learn to work together people, or learn to pick up the pieces apart.

Breaks and time away can help us heal. Hope to see you back here soon.

I truly am sorry if I in any way caused you to be unhappy . I wrote you a little note to say Hi and explain I "needed space from the ugliness on the Vine', but I missed your cheery opines...When I did not hear back I felt I had in some way offended you and that never was my intent .....When ugly becomes to much around me I make a space and retreat.I hope you are well and I want you to know that I value you.

Oh, bummer! I've been off the Vine since sometime in Jan. myself, so I didn't realize you were not up to par. I just popped in tonight and saw this.... Soooo sorry to hear things are not well with you. Hope you're feeling better very, very, very soon, my friend. (I can relate to the boo-boos. Ouch!) .... Hugzz to you and dear Mom! Take care and get well!
